Goffert van Gool

I like tinkering with software. I mostly work on web-based things professionally but have much wider experience and interests. I love exploring the edge of innovation, and in the past I have invented a Kubernetes-like infrastructure service (before Kubernetes), a GraphQL-like interface for HTTP backends (before GraphQL), and I have worked on Web Components standards and infrastructure. I give tech talks at meetups and conferences about a wide range of topics, including software, maths, and general philosophy. In the last decade I mostly focused on Platform Engineering and how to influence and improve engineering culture within larger organisations. Currently employed as a Tech Lead at a Booking Holdings org.
